Students will be creating a valentine’s day arrangement recipe book in preparation for the upcoming holiday. They will find 7 arrangements and create a detailed recipe for each one. The recipe must include all fresh/live materials and hard good such as container, tape and foam.
Level One Study Week
Students will spend the week studying for the level one Floral Design Certification Test in a variety of formats.
Level One Floral Certification Symmetrical Arrangement
Students will practice the level one symmetrical triangle arrangement and boutonniere in class.
Floral Recipe Project Multiple week project
Students will begin working on a recipe book for floral designs.
Students are going to create a slideshow with multiple recipes in it. For each holiday listed below you need to find four arrangements to make. On the slide you must include at least one image of the design and all materials needed. In the materials you must include the container needed and all ingredients (fresh flowers- with their names, trinkets, etc.). If the image you find does not fully represent the arrangement you’d like to make, add a note in there about how you’d make it better! *It does not have to be made with fresh flowers!*

Students will watch videos and complete sections covering material on the Level one certification exam. Student will also work in groups quizzing each-other on material.
Lesson Plan 8/17- 8/21
Students will review material from previous floral design classes and create a study guide to help them study for the level one floral design certification test. They will upload tests to google classroom and study them.
